Saltworks Secure Coding Tournament

ARE YOU A SECURE CODE WARRIOR?

Improve your secure coding skills by joining the Saltworks Secure Coding Tournament on March 26th, 9:00AM EDT through March 27th, 11:59PM EDT. The tournament allows you to compete against the other participants in a series of vulnerable code challenges that ask you to identify a problem, locate insecure code, and fix a vulnerability.

The tournament opens at March 26th, 9:00AM EDT. It may only take a few hours to complete all the challenges. You can start at any time and jump in and out to fit as you see fit before the tournament ends at March 27th, 11:59PM EDT. You don’t need extensive programming knowledge as this will be a great way to learn the foundations and intermediates of leveraging code that is not only functional but is also secure.

All challenges are based on the OWASP Top 10, and players can choose to compete in their preferred software language, including Java EE, Java Spring, C# MVC, C# WebForms, Go, Ruby on Rails, Python Django & Flask, Scala Play, Node.JS, React, and both iOS and Android development languages.

Throughout the tournament, players earn points and watch as they climb to the top of the leaderboard. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers...Think hoodie, t-shirts, stickers, and $250, $100 and $50 gift cards!

How to Join the tournament

- Simply complete the form and we will send information with the next steps and your training token to join.

- This tournament will be open from March 26th, 9:00AM EDT - March 27th, 11:59PM EDT, entry to the tournament is free!

- The tournament is run virtually so you can join through your laptop from the most convenient location and time. You can jump in and out of the tournament within the duration of the tournament as challenges are not time based.
